Who Should Consider This Test?

A Hair, Skin & Nails test is important to gain an understanding of what some of your nutritional levels are and how it can be contributing to symptoms. These symptoms may include, dry and flaky skin, thin or brittle hair, excessive hair loss, weak nails, acne, premature aging etc. You may have tried over-the-counter creams and ointments to temporarily relieve your skin, as well as oils and masks for your hair. While these external treatments can prove effective, taking this test will help to balance your internal health, in turn this may help to improve your hair, skin and nails overtime. These results may be shown to a dermatologist or aesthetician so that they can advise you further on what you need to better the state of your hair and skin. This test will allow you to make more informed decisions about how to improve the condition of your symptoms.

The markers included in this test range from hormone levels, vitamin and mineral levels, collagen and moisture levels etc. It is difficult to tell what may be the cause of your symptoms without having an insight into your vitamin and mineral deficiencies. For example, for someone who suffers from hair loss may have a silicon deficiency. Silicon is found in the connective tissues of the body and it contributes to the production of collagen. A lack of both silicon and collagen, may be indicated through symptoms such as, dry skin, premature wrinkles, lack of skin elasticity, hair loss etc. This test also measures your hormonal levels, such as the healthy production of thyroxine and T3 (triiodothyronine) which are both released from the thyroid gland. Having a deficiency in T3 or T4 may also be connected to symptoms such as hair loss, adult acne and more. This combination of both hormone, vitamin and mineral levels can provide a deeper understanding on how you can improve your health internally to better your health externally.
